Aonang Sunset Hotel offers both conventional rooms and hostel-style accommodation. Yusri’s recent Male Dormitory review described being surprised by that combination: the listing said hotel, but the stay was in shared accommodation. The distinction matters before drawing conclusions from its reviews.
The Agoda listing includes Superior private rooms as well as a twelve-bed female dormitory. Caoimhe’s female-dorm account described a privacy curtain, a comfortable bed and staff who supplied a beach towel. Yusri liked the spacious locker and orderly dorm but did not find the usual social hostel atmosphere. Neither account describes a private Superior room.
Gireesh, in a Superior room, praised daily housekeeping and staff care. Shawna’s Booking.com review described a higher-floor stay, effective air conditioning and a fan. The hotel’s official page also lists an outdoor pool, but the dormitory experience should not be sold as a private-room resort stay merely because the building has a pool.

There is nightlife close by. Caoimhe heard music from the neighbouring bar without being bothered, while Shawna found their room quiet. The available accounts establish nearby evening activity, not a consistent level of sound throughout the property.
This is a useful option to distinguish by accommodation type. A solo traveller comfortable sharing may care more about the curtain and locker; a couple may be looking at the Superior room instead. Its beach-area location is common to both, but privacy, sleeping arrangements and the social feel are not interchangeable.
