Tonsai Bay Resort’s position beneath the cliffs is especially relevant to a climbing trip. Jordan’s Superior Room account described a nearby climbing area and appreciated returning to air conditioning after time outside, while wishing the shower and toilet were separated.
Eyal’s Superior Semi-detached Cottage produced a different bathroom impression: the shower was a highlight, alongside the space and helpful staff. That category should be distinguished from the Superior Room rather than folded into one general description.
Viktoria liked a Superior Villa farther back from the beach. The short walk to the shore still worked well, and the position brought restaurants behind the bay closer. A room set back from the water is therefore not automatically less convenient for every part of a stay.

Danya’s Booking.com-origin account liked the quiet, secluded bay and staff service, but found the bedding less clean than expected. The unpartitioned shower also left the bathroom floor wet. That experience gives a practical counterpoint to the more positive cottage report.
Tonsai offers a different pace from Ao Nang’s road-lined beach. For climbers and travellers comfortable with a quieter bay, the location is a clear attraction. Room category and bathroom layout are still worth weighing separately from the surrounding cliffs.
